Dr Poppy Edwards

BA(Hons) DPsych (Forensic) MPsych (Clinical) , MAPS

Dr Poppy Edwards is a registered Forensic and Clinical psychologist with diverse experience across public and private sectors, namely Forensicare (Problem Behaviour Program), Corrections Victoria and Delmont Private Hospital.

She has worked with both men and women at various stages of criminal justice system involvement, including persons reporting to Community Correctional Services, remanded in custody, serving a term of imprisonment, or subject to post sentence supervision/detention.

Dr Poppy Edwards has provided critical incident and stress management within prisons, forensic consultation to criminal justice system stakeholders, and undertaken research exploring the interrelationship between developmental pathways and offending trajectories.

She has extensive experience providing forensic psychological assessment and treatment with respect to a range of problem behaviours:

  • Violence and threatening behaviour

  • Stalking

  • Harmful sexual behaviour

  • Firesetting

  • Substance use

  • General offending
